Andy's Famous Batangas Lomi & Bulalo, Visayas Avenue

Aside from their famous Batangas Lomi, Andy's is also popular for their Bulalo!!! Hot steaming beef soup with beef shanks and marrow and some veggies, a combination to crave for! And some Pinoys intentionally go on a road-trip to Tagaytay just to slurp this dish.

Homemade Traditional Kimchi

Korean dramas or also known as Koreanovelas started around early 2000's here in the Philippines. From then on, Korean wave has struck many Filipinos. We love Korean stars, K-pop Music, Korean fashion, and of course Korean food! These are some of the Korean dishes that we Filipinos like, Kimchi, Bibimbap, Bulgogi, Japchae, Korean-style Fried Chicken, Tteokbokki, Jjajangmyeon, and Korean BBQ. My favorite from this list is Kimchi because I can consume or pair it with a lot of food including Filipino food. Kimchi is a staple in Korea, it is their traditional side dish or banchan. It is fermented vegetables with seasonings like chili powder, ginger, garlic, scallions, and more. There are so many varieties of Kimchi, the most famous is Napa Cabbage or Pechay Baguio and Korean Radish.

Mesa Filipino Moderne Restaurant

I just want to share with you our food experience during our diner in Mesa Filipino Moderne Restaurant at SM City Fairview branch. First stop is the Blue Marlin Belly, sizzling blue marlin belly marinated and grilled served with a sweet soya glaze. The fish was grilled perfectly, it's so tender, and its natural juice is in there. I love the glaze; it's a bit sweet, light, and savory.

Pink Sisters Adoration Convent of Divine Mercy in Tagaytay City

We visited the Pink Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration during our day tour in Tagaytay City. It's one of the many and famous churches in Tagaytay City. It was a Sunday morning and we we're there as early as 7 a.m.; the place has a decent parking area that I think can accommodate more than 150 cars. There were a lot of attendees given that it's a Sunday, the chapel was full packed, and during the mass you can't stay or stand in the aisles. There were plastic seats lined outside the chapel to accommodate more mass goers. The place was so serene, peaceful, and relaxing. The chapel's altar was barricaded with iron grilles; you cannot go beyond the grilles.

Fresh Lumpia at Quiapo, Manila

My aunt, sister and I headed to Quiapo yesterday June 7, 2011. Our main agenda is to buy vintage necklaces and rings that my sister sells at her school. Before getting to the real deal we decided to head first at our all time favorite lumpiang sariwa (fresh spring roll) house.

Globe Lumpia House is the very famous lumpia eatery in the Metro, it is located in Raon, Quiapo, Manila  It only offers fresh lumpia, mineral water and soft drinks. The lumpia cost only 16.00php and most customers here order a double or more.
