Flosss Buns is what probably comes to any Filipinos mind when they think or heard of BreadTalk, I can't argue with that, what's not to like about BreadTalk Flosss Buns. I myself enjoy BreadTalk Flosss buns! However, recently our family became an avid buyer of BreadTalk's Raisin Soft Cheese Toast.

Pigeon & Baby Company Event with Melai Cantiveros

Pigeon Philippines and Baby Company conducted a Meet & Greet Event with Mrs. Melai Cantiveros-Francisco last Saturday, September 22, 2019 at the SM City Fairview Mall Atrium. The event was hosted by Mommy Vanna Rodrigo-Reyes.

The fun-filled program lasted for about 45 minutes, which includes the talk, some games, one song number and photo opp with certified Pigeon Mom Melai. The talk is about how Momshie Melai balances her career and family, motherhood, breastfeeding experiences, and her favorite Pigeon Philippines products.

Boston Cream is my favorite doughnut/donut variety or flavor. Because I get the best of both worlds :) ! You have that chocolate frosting on top and creamy pudding or custard filling on the center, what's not to like about it?!! Every time I buy doughnuts especially by the dozen or half, I'll make sure that Boston Cream is on the box!

They're here in the Philippines since February 27, 2019, the #McDoFlavorsOfJapan. Four exciting additional items were added to McDonald's Philippines Menu, these are Teriyaki Samurai Burger, Ebi Burger, Nori Shake Shake Fries, and Strawberry Sakura McFloat.

Hua Mulan Combs

This is a Hua Mulan Wood Integrated Ebony Comb, looks sleek right...? This wooden hair comb costs ₱430, but I purchased it at ₱344 because it has a 20% discount. I know it's pricey compared to plastic combs that I usually had before, especially during my childhood days. Honestly, we can buy hair combs for only ₱10 easily at our local markets, and it is everywhere.

Wings and Wedges Restaurant

Wings and Wedges is a small yet cozy restaurant located at SM City Fairview. Obviously they specializes in chicken wings and potato wedges, however, they also serve salads, burgers, pizza, pasta and more. My husband and I dine here after our stroll at the mall. It's my second time to dine at Wings & Wedges while, it's a first time for my husband.

Dohtonbori SM City Fairview Opening Soon

Dohtonbori is a Japanese restaurant that has over 300 stores in Japan itself. They opened their first store here in the Philippines last 2015, now it has five branches including Dohtonbori SM City Fairview that will be opening soon at the Upper Ground Floor besides Burger King and Mary Grace Cafe.

Dohtonbori's best seller or specialty is their authentic Japanese Okonomiyaki, Okono means "what you like" and Yaki means "grilled". Okonomiyaki one of the most popular staple food in Japan, it's a savory pancake or omelette that has variety of ingredients such as meat and vegetables, then topped with bonito flakes, Japanese mayonnaise, seaweed flakes, and more. Dohtonbori also offers other Japanese food such as Sukiyaki, Hiroshima Yaki, Yakisoba, Yakiniku, Monjayaki, and more. I haven't tried Dohtonbori yet, but will surely try it in the future!

My friend and I were craving for a hot steaming dish especially this rainy season. And our taste buds directed us to Pho Hoa Noodle Soup in SM City Fairview.

As a snack or dessert, you can't go wrong with Yema. Yema is a traditional Filipino sweet delicacy made of sweet condensed milk and egg yolks; some also add peanuts for flavoring. Yema and Dulce de Leche may differ in the cooking process but they were the same because its main ingredient is condensed milk. I am exuberant when I heard of Yema Spread, I quickly research it online and found about Tooth Fairy's Yema Spread.

I had heard about Peri-peri Chicken in the metro for a while now; however this is just my first time to try it. There are considerable number Peri peri chicken restaurants in Metro Manila, most of it are in Quezon City, but you can also find it in San Juan City, Mandaluyong City, Pasig City, and Parañaque City. What is a Peri-peri chicken? Based on what I researched, Piri piri or Peri peri is a type of chili which can be found in Africa and South American countries. The dish itself was said to originate in both Africa and Portugal, it's a very spicy dish, and chicken is marinated for many hours and then grilled.

Tsokolate Ah and Ensaymada

Perfect for the post-holiday season is a steaming hot cup of chocolate drink, for sweet lovers and a-less-guilt caffeine intake, and paired with less sweet bread. Hot cocoa contains antioxidants, but take it in moderation for it also contains fats and sugars. I admit, I am not well-aware of how Tsokolate Ah was processed and prepared, so I've research about it. It is done by boiling a cup of water in a tsokolateria (some kind of a pitcher saucepan), then the tablea (cacao tablets) is mixed in with milk and ground peanuts. It is whisked using a batirol (a wooden beater) until it became a creamy, foamy broth.
