Cabanatuan's Finest Longganisa

I love longganisa especially paired with fried rice and egg, that's one of the best breakfast for me! Longganisa is a type of sausage and has many variants all over the country. And Cabanatuan Longganisa from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija is one of it!

The most famous Cabanatuan Longganisa is called Batutay or Beef Longganisa/Sausage. They also have the sweet-style which is called Hamonado, garlicky sausage that's Recado, or Skinless that means without the sausage casing.

Cabanatuan's Finest Longganisa is based in Nueva Ecija, however there are authorized sellers here in Metro Manila. In my case, I bought it from one of my friends. I think the best thing about Cabanatuan's Finest Longganisa is that their products looks really high-quality, clean and the meat itself doesn't shrink drastically when you're cooking it.

From all the Cabanatuan's Finest Longganisa, my favorite is the Hamonado variant. I love it because it really meaty, taste good with still the hint of garlicky flavor and that sweetness which is perfect for vinegar dip!

The other Cabanatuan's Finest products like Recado Garlic Longganisa, Cheezy Embutido and Chicken Skinless are also good. Worth really a try.

Rocha's Puto and Kutsinta

Probably the most common kakanin in every Filipino household, Puto and/or Kutsinta. You can buy it anywhere, in restaurants, eateries, bakeshops, and it's even being sold at your doorstep by mobile street vendors in the morning. Puto and/or Kutsinta has so many variations around the country, different textures, main ingredient, colors, sizes, types, toppings and technique in cooking. Personally, my favorite Puto of all time is Puto Calasiao of Pangasinan. As for the Kutsinta, I don't have any because most of it is pretty much the same, they only differ in color, chewiness and toppings.

Today is a special day for me and my family. It's my 37th Birthday and our 6th Wedding Anniversary! We had a very simple and happy celebration at home, normal everyday food, store-bought cake, some picture moments and chasing our toddler.

Pink Anne Seafood Delight's California Maki

Who doesn't love or crave for California Maki? Sweet, savory, refreshing and filling food literally rolled into one. What's not to love?

A California Maki Platter from Pink Anne Seafood Delight (The Original Maki Store in Fairview since 2012). It's my first time to try Pink Anne's California Maki and it doesn't disappoint me. I ordered it via their Facebook Page, they're fast to respond. It's for my son's 11th Month Birthday along with a simple cake which I will post next.

What I really love about this California Maki are the mangoes and the Japanese mayonnaise. The mangoes are really good quality and sweet. While the Japanese mayo is aunthentic and a lot. It has the right amount of tobiko, the sushi rice is really good, and it has wasabi, soy sauce, kalamansi and chopsticks on the side, so you can eat it anywhere on the go.

Goldilocks Royal Fudge Cake with Toblerone

Heavenly moist chocolate cake with buttercream and chocolate mousse filling, topped with chocolate syrup, choco shavings and Toblerone chunks! I will give this cake 4.5/5 stars. It tastes good, the chocolate is overwhelming. The design is paralleled to the taste. It not only look good, it's also amazing. If you're a chocolate lover then this is the cake for you. Good Job Goldilocks!

Red Ribbon Cookies and Cream Dedication Cake (READ BEFORE YOU BUY)

Vanilla and chocolate chiffon cake layers filled and covered with delightful cream and real Oreo cookie bits.

The price of the cake is 500 pesos only. 

In my honest opinion, the cake is very mediocre. It is too far from being great, the Chocolate Dedication Cake is much better (not the rainbow color inside). The cake is dry, you wouldn't even recognize that its flavor is cookies and cream if not for the Oreo cookies because it tastes like an ordinary cake that you can buy from a small bakery, there is no cookies and cream taste. I love Red Ribbon but this cake is a flop, the prize is too high for its quality. The design was good but there is nothing more to compliment other than that. I'm too disappointed because I've waited for so long just to buy this cake. 

Overall my grade for this is 1/5 stars. I love Red Ribbon but I'm just being honest so you won't waste your money for this cake.
