Our Chihuahua puppy sleeping with her eyes slightly open... She's genuinely sleeping! Look closely you can see her eyeballs and her left ear is a bit camera shy... LOL!!! Apple's appearance now that she's 7-weeks and 3-days is very different when she's only a week old. You can check her photos back then HERE.

Chewy's Baby

Chihuahua Puppy

Chewy, our long-coat Chihuahua delivered one female puppy last Saturday via Cesarean section! Ouchy! She can't deliver her puppy normally because it's too big for her. Early Saturday morning, my father woke me up to inform me that Chewy's due date is that day and still she's not giving any signs that she'll deliver the puppy soon. So we decided to go to a Veterinary Clinic that my father's friend recommended to him. He said we can request for an X-ray to be sure that Chewy is pregnant and that would cost us only 300.00php. So we went immediately to the clinic, it's only 10 minutes drive from our home. We talk to the doctor about Chewy's condition and history. The doc made his physical examinations to Chewy and it's confirmed that she's pregnant but unfortunately she needs to deliver it via Cesarean.

Preggy Chihuahua

Pregnant ChihuahuaPregnant Chihuahua

We are just counting days or even hours before Chewy, our long-coat Chihuahua gave birth. At first, the whole family is not 100% convinced that Chewy is pregnant not until this day... Because all of the sudden her tummy got bigger though it's not totally huge compared to other pregnant dogs, her weight is more heavier than usual, when we touch her tummy we can feel that there's something inside and we guess that it would be two puppies, and most of all when she's lying down like a mannequin her tummy is moving abruptly, the puppies are moving!!!

Xing, Our Mini Pinscher

She is Xing, our 1 year old female smooth-coated Red Mini Pinscher. Along with Chewy, our long-coat Chihuahua, Xing doesn't like so much water, she's also a bit afraid. But we need to regularly bath our pets and groom them. Mini  Pinscher originated from Germany, they are compact and average height is 10-12 1/2 inches. This type of dog is alert, fearless, highly active and outgoing.

It takes less effort to groom Min Pin, just shampoo or bathe them once a week, they have short-haired coat that requires minimal brushing, clean their ears with a soft cotton and cut their nails weekly or every other week.

Our Norwich Terrier Enjoying Her Bath

Golda, our 7 months female Norwich terrier enjoying her bath so much. Terriers are energetic and playful in nature and they are not shy. To make sure she's really clean sinabon namin sya thrice. Norwich terriers has two coats, the topcoat and undercoat, we need to scrub it very hard to make sure all dirt are washed up. Look she really loves the scrubbing part, as if she's just having a massage.

Population of Norwich Terriers here in the Philippines is few compared to other commercialized small breeds like Shih Tzu, Poodle, Dachshund, Mini Pinscher, Chihuahua and others.

Sorry for the background noises in the video such as vehicle noises and dogs barking.

Chewy after Taking Her Bath

It's time to dry her out.. Sometimes we use a conventional hair blower especially when the weather is cold and Chewy is shuddering badly. Now the weather is not so cold so a regular clean towel will do. Chewy is a long-coat Chihuahua, she doesn't dry easily with just one wipe of a towel, you need to scrub it a bit hard.

My sister who's drying Chewy pinches her every now and then, I can't blame my sister, Chewy is so irresistible and cute most especially after her bath. Chewy's coat is like a very soft cotton and very fragrant!

Bathe your pets regularly, at least thrice a week. They also need that to feel fresh, remove dirt and it lessens the possibility of having tick or flee. Enjoy bonding moment with your pets!

Chewy is Taking a Bath

Chewy, our four year old female long-coat Chihuahua. She's more afraid to take a bath regularly compared to our other dogs, she shivers a lot, she doesn't like water so much :) !

What we do is bathing her with lukewarm water or sometimes we bathe her in our wash room and turn the heater on, ha ha ha what a classy dog!

She's really small so we need to scrub her tenderly, rub her face and scour her feet.
