Want to try simple and easy authentic Korean dishes by yourself? Of course you'll need ingredients that directly came from South Korea.
If you're going to prepare Kimchi (fermented vegetables) the basic ingredient is Gochugaru or Korean Red Pepper Powder. And where to buy gochugaru and other Korean cuisine ingredients or food..? You can find numerous Korean grocery stores in Metro Manila and one of which is Wang Mart Korean Grocery.
Wang Mart in Don Antonio, Quezon City is a good place, it's not that big but it has many products, they have parking area, and it's just along the main road.
What can you buy in a Korean grocery store? There are so many, from their uniquely tasting ice creams, home and kitchen items, snacks, loads of Samyang noodles which is famous for the fire noodle challenge, and many more!
They also sell many types of Korean drinks suck as Banana Milk, different Aloe Drinks, Soya Drinks, Fruit Drinks, Flavored Water and more. As you can see in the fridge, they also have fresh vegetables and Danmuji or Yellow Pickled Radish.
Wang Mart has a wide variety of instant noodles or ramyun selection, in cups or pouches, from super spicy to mild, instant Jjampong, instant Jajangmyeon, and many more!
You can also buy Soju (a Korean alcoholic beverage), instant soups, and Korean-style Curry Rice powder.
Tip: Before going to an Asian grocery store and hoard products, do your research.
Check on the dishes that you want to cook, make a list of the needed ingredients.
So you will not waste your time deliberating if you're going to buy a certain product or if you need it.
This is where the sauces and seasonings are located. You can find soy sauce, gochujang or red pepper paste, sesame oil, honey, ready-made sauces for tteokbokki, Korean mayonnaise, ssamjang or spicy dipping sauce and many more!!!

How to go to Wang Mart from Quezon Memorial Circle via public transportation?
1. Ride a jeepney, bus or air-con vans bound to SM City Fairview, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Almar/Bagong Silang, Novaliches Bayan, or San Mateo.
2. Get off on Don Antonio or Ever Commonwealth. The fare should be minimum, ₱8 for a jeepney ride.
3. Go across the overpass, you should be going to the direction of Petron Gasoline Station.
4. Petron is located along Holy Spirit Drive, just walk past it, it is approximately 3-5 minute walk from Petron to Wang Mart.
5. Wang Mart Grocery is at the left side.
