Samsung Galaxy Y is powerful and compact! Y stands for Young, Samsung Galaxy Young! Weighs 97.5g, full touchscreen, measures are 103.5 x 55.3mm and slim at only 12.2mm. It runs Android 2.3 OS and the battery can last up to 3 hours talk time or 250 hours stand-by time.
It has three different screens, Menu Screen, Home Screen, Lock Screen and Notification Screen which is hidden at the top and will show by flicking it. It displays all notification for a new text message receive, missed calls, calendar events, battery full notification, alarms, music or radio that you are playing and more. It also have useful widgets at the top to quickly switch on/off WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Silent Mode and Auto Screen Rotation.
Messages are displayed as threads, it's easy to follow a conversation. Contacts is simple yet very smart.
The left image above is Samsung Galaxy Y Settings menu, while the right image is the Gallery where you can view your pictures and videos.
Other features of Samsung Galaxy Y are FM Radio, Memo, Calendar, Calculator, QuickOffice, 2MP Camera, Bluetooth, USB and WiFi Connection and 180MB Internal Memory and you can extend it up to 16GB External Memory.
